A PROUD REFLECTION OF FOOTSCRAY’S VIBRANT CO-LOURS, CULTURE AND HERITAGE.
Millhouse Residence embodies the best of the West, balancing a rich industrial past with a refined and sophisticated edge. Positioned in the heart of Footscray, this is a place for those who enjoy cutting-edge architecture, fabulous food and a tangible history — a home Made. West.
ARCHITECTURE THAT IS TURE TO ITS INDUS-TRIAL HERITAGE AND DESIGNED FOR CONTEMPORARY LIVING.
From integrated townhomes to sky terraces, each Millhouse residence heroes a series of individual features. Where the three-bedroom terraces offer multiple balconies and expansive spaces, the one-bedroom town-homes offer private street entrances, long frontages and floor-to-ceiling windows. A mix of one, two, and three-bedroom homes allows for various layouts and work-from-home options, while generous balconies and large terraces provide spaces to entertain outdoors.
The Millhouse design is inspired by the textures and tones of the Kinnears factory. A considered mix of brick, corrugated metal, glass and coloured concrete references the site’s industrial heritage and strong lines are softened by a layered landscape design.
Hayball has designed Millhouse to be a spectacular and tactile building that invites you to interact with the materials and feel a deep connection to the site. From the streetscape to the rooftop, a series of details, textures and masterfully crafted spaces will make the entire building a joy to inhabit.
BEAUTIFUL INTERIOR SPACES THAT ENCOURAGE YOU TO MAKE A PERSONAL DESIGN STATEMENT.
Each Millhouse residence is a light-filled space designed to be welcoming and inspiring. A sophisticated, neutral palette in natural hues allows you to add your personal style to a brightly lit canvas. Mid-century modern, museum pieces and a more contemporary aesthetic will all sit perfectly in these elegant homes.
A palette of crisp whites will be offset by timber accents in two colour schemes featuring light or dark wood. The timber hues extend from the flooring to joinery, while warm grey carpets and tiling create a relaxing ambience.
Communal spaces, such as the lobby area, connect the exterior and interior design language and a mix of brick, stone and timber creates a refined take on an industrial aesthetic. This inviting entrance provides a sense of comfort — of coming home, as soon
as you step through the door.
